Core courses

The core courses are designed and taught in a manner so as to give students a basic foundation of understanding, interpreting and problem solving skills for public health issues.
All core courses are mandatory for all students enrolled to the EMPH program. The ‘Human Health and Disease’ course is compulsory for all students from a non-medical and dental background.

*Courses that may be waived for students with relevant public health work experience.
At the end of the first semester, students have to choose and declare a chosen area of concentration/track. The areas of concentration have been formulated so as to incorporate most in demand public health areas of expertise.
For a particular concentration/track course to be offered, a minimum enrollment of 6 students is required.
